I am a fully certified teacher of the Alexander Technique as a May 2015 graduate of the North Carolina Teacher Training Program of Chesapeake Bay Alexander Studies.
I have been actively incorporating my decade of Alexander Technique study into my annual EMF and UNCSA Intensive Arts “Healthy Playing Habits” and “Breathing, Breaks and Basics for Mindful Music Making” presentations; and for universities and festivals across the nation. Observation, awareness and ease of movement are integral to her trumpet playing and teaching; she brings the clarity and focus from her wide range of teachers to all her interactions.

Oct. 1, 2015 ended my eight year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the International Trumpet Guild and my committee activity as the Chair of Sponsor – a Trumpet, Conference Host Handbook, and committee membership of Jazz committee.
I was a member of the American Association of University Women, and a long-time association with the American Federation of Musicians as a past 25-year member of local 10-208 in Chicago.
I was an invited associate member of the board of the National Trumpet Competition (NTC) from 2007 – 2011.
I was on Fulbright Committee for Wind/Percussion instruments 2007-2010
I was on the board for the International Women’s Brass Conference (Iwbc) 2000-2005
